The analysis of asbestos-cement shell pile performance under off-center loading and forced torsion

The paper discusses the new design of a round pile with relatively smoother surface, developed in an attempt to eliminate excessive negative friction forces. A theoretical study has been conducted into performance asbestos-cement shell exposed off-center loading, which occurs response uneven deformations surrounding soil and seismic loads. cross section upper eccentrically compressed part flexible asbestos-cement-pipe-concrete element is considered. When considering stress-strain state piles, premise compliance hypothesis flat sections accepted. With predicted intensive development loading forces, method proposed for preliminary turning these piles around axis remove main adhesion between side surface base soil. Theoretically, indicated pile, formed during its torsion axis, was estimated. considered as composite consisting concrete cylinder pipe. As first approximation, we assume that there are no body core rigidly linked. According Saint-Venant principle, it can be twisted rod at sufficiently large distance from ends, stresses depend on torque do not distribution forces give this moment over end sections. Based basic equations theory elasticity, follows circular section, bounded by concentrically shell, remain torsion.
